Fish - Water - Hook
There’s a phrase; The last thing a fish will discover is water.
That moment of discovery is allied to the moment when the fish is of course no longer a fish, though in form, it maintains all the outward appearance of still being a fish. This fish, denuded of its former motility, a mindless capacity to swim, is of course no longer a fish, its mode being to either sink or fly; if it flys, it’s hooked and for its next trick will have to keep breathing.
